Mental Health Aware

(Half Day)

Course Overview

This is an introductory course designed to give you an overview of mental health and raise awareness. It also suitable for people who have trained as Mental Health First Aiders previously but need a refresher course.

What can participants expect to learn?
  • What mental health is and how to challenge the stigma surrounding it?

  • A basic understanding of some common mental health issues

  • How to maintain and manage their own mental health and wellbeing

  • How to support someone in distress, who may be experiencing poor mental health

    Teaching will take place through a mixture of presentations, workshop activities and group discussions. 

Course Materials & Other Resources

Every participant will receive a certificate, certifying they are Mental Health Aware, along with a manual to refer to whenever they require and a workbook, which includes a toolkit to support their own mental health.

If, due to unforeseen circumstances, the session is cancelled you will be offered a place on a course on an alternative date. If a suitable alternative date cannot be arranged, your payment will be refunded in full.
